Taking place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th April, at ExCeL London, the 4th Clinical Pharmacy Congress, this annual event in the clinical pharmacy calendar saw the great and the good in pharmacy leadership come together with grass roots pharmacists and their staff to discuss the issues of the day. From debating the professional issues related to clinical leadership and quality improvement, to the development of innovative cross-disciplinary working by GPs and pharmacists, the Clinical Pharmacy Congress has once again proved its worth among pharmacy’s premier networking events as the place where important conversations take place. No Clinical Pharmacy Congress would be complete without a comprehensive programme of clinical education and this year’s event was no exception with its class-leading Poster Zone, where clinical pharmacy research from across the UK was on view for the whole two days of the Congress. Two fully-loaded clinical theatre programmes covering specialist subjects such as emerging role of cancer immunotherapy and high cost gastroenterology medicines were also supplemented this year by programmes covering medicines optimisation, leadership, innovation and technology, and strategy and policy.
