WRAP AROUND CARE
The Clifton High school day runs from 8.30am - 3.35pm in the Infant and Junior School. However, we offer a range of wrap around care outside these hours to expand our pupils’ learning experiences and to allow parents to pick up their child or children at a time that works with their schedule.
This booklet outlines these various offerings. The three main categories of wrap around care include:
1) Co-curricular clubs (3.35 - 4.15pm)
These are run by teachers or subject specialists and can be booked through SOCS. Detailed information on the specific co-curricular offerings can be found on SOCS.
Collection is from the Infant Gate on Clifton Park.
2) Homework/Late Rooms (3.35 - 4.00pm)
These are spaces where pupils can work quietly and places do not need to be booked. Collection is from the Infant Gate on Clifton Park.
Year 6 pupils can join Senior Late Room in the Senior Library from 4.00pm.
Any child in Reception to Year 5 who has not been picked up by 4.15pm from either a Cocurricular club or Homework/Late Room will be taken to ASAC.
3) After School Activity Club (ASAC) (3.30 - 4.45 pm) (3.30 - 5.55pm)
This is a guided play session for children offered as either a Half Session or a Full Session and can be booked through SOCS.
Parents will be informed when the bookings will open for each half term. During the half term before, bookings will open on a nominated day and time to allow fair access to the system.
Parents are asked to cancel a booking if they know their child is ill or not going to use the session they have booked. ‘No shows’ will be counted and when three have been registered by a child’s name, bookings for that child will be removed for the rest of that half term and the parents will need to make alternative arrangements for childcare. This is to act as a deterrent and to allow others to book a space and to be fair showing consideration for others.
Children booked into ASAC should not attend Homework/Late Room but go directly to the ASAC location. A child can be booked into a club prior to ASAC and they will be taken to ASAC afterwards.
Importantly, ASAC is not intended to be used instead of a club or Late/Homework Room. This allows all half and full sessions to be available to parents who need to pick up after 4.45pm.
Infant ASAC (Reception, Year 1, Year 2)

Half Session children 3.30pm-4.45pm
• Book on SOCS - ASAC Summer Infant Half session.
• Located in the EYFS playground and Year 1 classrooms.
• Children can bring their own snack bar or piece of fruit.
• Fixed pick up at 4.45pm. All half session children will be bought to the Hive gate at 4.45pm.
• Early pick up is permitted from 4.30pm by ringing Infant ASAC mobile number 07305108044 so staff can bring your child to the Hive gate early.
• Infant Half session and Infant Full session are together for this duration.
Full session children 3.30-5.55pm
• Book on SOCS - ASAC Summer Infant Full Session.
• Full session children join the half session children as above until 4.45pm.
• Located in the EYFS playground and Woods House.
• Children served with a light snack at approximately 5.10pm.
• Flexible pick up between 5.00pm-5.55pm by ringing Infant ASAC Mobile Number 07305108044 so your child can be brought to The Hive gate.
• Any child not picked up by 6.00pm will be taken to the member of Senior Leadership Team on duty and parents will be telephoned.
Junior ASAC (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5) 07305632482

• Located in Junior Adventure area playground and Woods House.
• Children can bring their own snack bar or piece of fruit.
• Fixed pick up at 4.45pm. All half session children will be bought to the Hive gate at 4.45pm.
• Early pick up is permitted from 4.30pm by ringing Junior ASAC mobile number 07305632482 so staff can bring your child to the Hive gate early.
• Junior Half session and Infant Full session are together for this duration.
Full session children
