Local emergency services were called to the incident just before 7am. Oakey Police Sergeant, John Cooke, said according to initial investigations one vehicle travelling eastbound had collided with the barrier before spinning into the westbound lane. “The driver has hit the rail for some reason which has caused the vehicle to spin out and onto the other side of the road,” Sergeant Cooke said. He said the driver of the second vehicle made an attempt to go around the out of control car but collided with the driver’s side. The driver of one vehicle had to be cut from her seat by crews from the Oakey Queensland Fire and Emergency Services. A spokesperson from the Queensland Ambulance Service said two patients were taken to the Toowoomba Hospital following the incident. “Two patients were transported with one complaining of chest pain,” the spokesperson said. “A third patient was assessed at the scene but did not require treatment.” Emergency services
