We are delighted to present two World Premiere works, a Denver Premiere, and the return of a 2012 Denver Premiere! Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) and the Denver Performing Arts & Venues present "Journeys."
• It is the first collaboration between Cleo Parker Robinson & Dianne Reeves, Denver's Five-Time Grammy Award Winning Jazz Icon in "Freedom Dance," a song from Reeves' 1994 album "Art & Survival." Cleo presents original choreography along with "Freedom Poem," a new work written by CPRD Co-Founder and poet Schyleen Qualls.
• After two years of development before, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now, Maestra Amalia Viviana Basanta Hernández returns to Denver for the World Premiere of "The Four Journeys," a work commissioned by CPRD with the support of NEFA and other arts foundations.
• "Standing On The Shoulders," is hot off of the 2021 Vail Dance Festival stage after its August 9 World Premiere.
• "Fusion," by Haitian choreographer Jeanguy Saintus, returns with beauty and vibrance.
