Cleo Parker Robinson Dance
Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) began in Denver’s historic Five Points in 1970 as both a professional performance Ensemble and an Academy, founded with the belief that the language of dance transcends the boundaries of culture, class, and age. As a cultural hub in its 54th season, CPRD is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization serving the artistic and educational needs of the community by bringing dance into the lives of diverse people. Today’s five operational pillars have expanded into CPRD Theatre Rental serving 30 independent arts groups, and a new CPRD Health & Wellness pillar creating collaborative partnerships in health equity/advocacy policy, performance art policy, civic engagement, and community events. Anchoring pillars of performance and education have grown into two professional dance ensembles (CPRD Ensemble and Cleo II), and Youth/Junior Youth Ensembles. The CPRD Academy serves 1,100 students from 1 to 101 with dozens of year-round classes or through the seasonal International Summer Dance Festival.
