Duct tape, found plastic CREATOR’S NOTE Children and husbands are heavily dependent on the mother of the household to keep track of their things. This artwork investigates the weight and dependence families have on mother figures in relation to the designer bags consumer culture sells for them to use. Many fashionable bags for women aren’t made for them to carry as many things as they are needed too. I recall my own mother carrying coats, snacks, and medicine for my two younger siblings and I growing up.
