Oneoftheoldestcarswasalocallybuilt1926Clyno.The ClynoEngineeringCompanywasamotorcycleandcar manufacturerthatfirststartedinThrapstonin1909before movingtoWolverhamptonin1910.Thecompanycontinued until1929withover15,000motorcyclesandbetween 36,000and40,000carsproduced.In1926theywerethe thirdlargestcarmanufacturerinBritain,behindAustinand Morris.TheClynoRoyal2Tourerwasavailableasa10.8 hp,11hpor11.9hpmodel.Itusedthe1368ccCoventry ModelF4-cylinder,sidevalveengine,drivinga3-Speed gearboxthroughaconeclutch.Afourwheelbrakingoption wasintroducedin1925.Itranfrom1922to1928with around35,000built.In1928theTourerversioncost£152. SaturdayfeaturedFabulousSupercars,whileSundaywas forClassicandVintagesports cars.Weattendedthe Saturdaywhichwasa celebrationofthebestin modernsupercars,sports carsandprestigecarsgoing fromthe1970sthroughto today.
