At this years Classic Silverstone the 40th anniversary of Group C was celebrated with a large number of Porsche 956 and 962 examples making an appearance. This month's archive image shows the Rothmans Porsche 956 of Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell during the Le Mans 24 hours in 1983. Ickx is shown driving here. They would finish second behind the similar car driven by Vern Schuppan, Al Holbert and Hurley Haywood
