The project is located in Baborigame, in southern Chihuahua. It responds to the problems caused by the lack of necessary equipment and facilities in the community as a result of insecurity in the Sierra. It seeks to provide children in vulnerable communities in the Sierra Madre Occidental a place where they can develop healthily.

Since Baborigame is a small community located away from large cities, basic housing services such as water, electricity, gas and sewage are limited or unavailable. For this reason, the project contemplates bioclimatic strategies and materials to make the compound self-sustainable.

Context
Volumetric Process

The volumes would be placed modularly, being each module a living space for 4 to 6 children. Since it is an enclosed space, the roofs were designed to be sloped to allow cross-ventilation. In addition, in Baborigame the rainfall is heavy, so the sloped roofs were designed to capture precipitation.
Considering the intended users of the project, it was planned that this would be separated into two zones where one is for women and the other for men. These two volumes would be separated to generate central areas and the four volumetric areas would be linked by a common area.
