About

The project is located in the heart of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. As an industrial city which has grown exponentially in the last few years, overpopulation and lack of affordable housing have become an increasing concern and challenge. For these reasons, the project proposal is to regenerate an entire city block considering the context in which it is located.

The project takes into consideration the evolution of the blocks throughout time, beginning with the model of the closed city block in the 200s. Continuing with the revolution of Le Corbusier with permeable blocks, following with isolated areas with departmental blocks of great height. For this reason, the project takes again the values of a closed city block to provide privileged spaces in the inside, with a total connectivity from the neighboring streets, commercial spaces on ground floor and housing on the upper levels.
