Outstanding Leaders Under 40 ’04 Ryan McLeod

Ryan McLeod is a native of Columbia, S.C., and a graduate of Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, S.C. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Claflin University in 2004. In January 2005, he accepted a job in Philadelphia, Pa., with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), where he remains employed. McLeod earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is also the proud father of a 17-year-old daughter, Gabrielle Katie McLeod, and twin boys Adonis and Marceau McLeod.

McLeod serves as a 1st line Supervisor in Customer Operation within the Construction and Equipment supply chain at DLA Troop Support in Philadelphia, Pa. He commenced his tenure at Troop Support in January 2005. In his current role, he oversees a team of 12 employees who collaborate with various military customers, assisting them with their orders through DLA.

Their work serves Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine customers to resolve complex issues and support the Warfighter.

In addition to his professional role, Ryan is a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, initiated with the Delta Alpha chapter in Spr 02. In 2021, he completed a fouryear term as the Pennsylvania State Director (District Director) for Alpha Phi Alpha. He is also a deacon at the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pa.

McLeod 's life philosophy centers around "To Whom Much is Given, Much is Required." His favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28, which states, "And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
