Rosi Da tredici anni sono sulle sue tracce, ma nulla. Con rammarico getto la spugna e concludo che il celebrato palazzinaro di una volta non esiste più. Una razza, quella dei primi palazzinari, già in via d’estinzione durante i miei primi anni alla facoltà d’architettura e che adesso fa capolino solo tra i miei ricordi sbiaditi. Oh palazzinaro, mio palazzinaro! Eri così cool, con la tua silhouette da divo della porchetta e gli orologi scintillanti, le auto lussuose, le bellissime donne! Ci avresti regalato il Maxxi nel giro di pochi anni col brivido ancora vivo di Zaha Hadid da far danzare le sagome zigzaganti della nostra schiena: da sopra a sotto in un fluire di calcestruzzo sabbioso ma perfetto all’apparenza. Se tu ci fossi ancora potremmo smetterla di sognare e finalmente cedere i nostri segni dalla carta alla realtà. Seppur i tuoi metodi erano talvolta discutibili, riuscivi a imbellettare le nostre città vestendole di crudo cemento e dispensando lavoro “nero” per tutti. Adesso che ci hai lasciati in mano ad ostentatori di falsa sostenibilità e nelle grinfie di amministratori concupiscenti verso architetti e architetture ottuagenarie, non ci rimane che farla finita e lasciare il lettore a questo volume da collezione, il quarto di uno strumento culturale indipendente nato - un anno fa - nella cucina di un piccolo appartamento in via Appia Nuova a Roma. 10

The race of the first palazzinari was already endangered during my first years at the faculty of architecture and now it’s just among my just faded memories. Oh Palazzinaro, my palazzinaro! You were so cool with your star of pork silhouette and your shiny watches, luxury cars and beautiful women! You could give us the Maxxi within a few years with the thrill of Zaha Hadid still alive dancing to the shapes of our zigzagging back: from the top to the bottom in a flow of concrete sand perfect in appearance. If you were here we could still stop dreaming and finally let our marks run from paper to reality. Although your methods were sometimes questionable, you could embellish our cities dressing them in raw concrete and dispensing under the table work for everyone. Now that you left us in the hands of conspicuous false sustainability and in the clutches of lustful administrators near to octogenarian architects and architects, we cannot just get over it and leave the reader to this collection, the fourth issue of a cultural independent magazine born a year ago in the kitchen of a small apartment in Via Appia Nuova in Rome. www.francescolipari.it
