Review’s recommended approach:
1. Investigate future-proofing for the provision of some bus services through the site after CRL opens
2. Provide greater flexibility for future developers
3. Provide some transitional spaces and activations for the site in time for CRL opening
Objective: best value and best outcomes from the land.
• Actions taken:
• Review development outcomes
• Developer market soundings
• Review Right of First Refusal & partnering
• Consider possible planning changes
• Go-to-market strategy:
• Satellite site sales
• Market station area as a single site
• Provide flexibility on site use (inc. deferral of Tunnel St accessway)
Objective: transport access to station meets current and future needs
Actions taken:
• Consider expected transfer activity
• Review locations of bus stops, pick-up/drop-off
• Develop options for closer bus access
Next steps:
• Investigate future-proofing of corridor(s) for future bus access .
