Eastern side
Final line marking of cycle way to be completed in October.
Planting of trees and low-level plants in September.
Western side – between Beresford Square and the Ambulance Station
Laying new kerbs and installing new drainage.
Karangahape Road section complete and concrete poured in middle section. Currently working with Chorus to complete utility works. Final sections of concrete will be poured once this has been completed.
In front of station entrance –concrete, paving and light installation.
• Install electrical ducting for the new streetlights and traffic signals at the mid-block crossing.
• Install kerbs for the new cycleway and footpath.
• Connect the new watermain outside the Fire Station after Watercare testing complete.

• There are two changes to the Small Business Support Programme from July 2025:
An increase in the annual microgrant from $3,000 to $4,000
A new offering of a free 12-month membership to one of three industry associations: Retail NZ, Hospitality New Zealand, or Restaurant Association New Zealand
The free business connector service and support for expanded outdoor dining will continue
• Work has progressed to adjust the design for Cross Street and East Street.
An AT and Auckland Council group has been reviewing the design to ensure City Centre Master Plan and Access for Everyone outcomes are delivered.
• We will have something to share at the next community meeting and will be meeting with the Local Board and others in the next few weeks.
