Air quality

The project monitors and manages the impacts that building demolition, concrete cutting and other construction related activities can have on air quality Visual inspections of dust are undertaken regularly to ensure mitigation techniques are working effectively with additional continuous monitoring implemented on-site. Early on in the project, Contracts 1 and 2 switched from diesel generators to grid-connected transformers. This not only reduced GHG emissions, it also made the air cleaner by reducing diesel particulates. Link Alliance has also been working to do the same and now have grid-connected transformers at all their sites.
