DISPUTES

Disputes can arise when complaints are not considered resolved by the stakeholder affected by the issue. In the context of this Project, disputes may arise relating to financial loss due to construction effects on businesses in proximity. A claim for financial compensation under the Public Works Act 1981 is a possibility for affected parties who are significantly affected by the Project. The Public Works Act entitles affected parties to compensation for ‘substantial injurious affection’, which may include damage to property or losses to a business. Affected parties are to contact AT directly to pursue any claims for financial compensation as a result of the Project (refer to Section 5.7 of this SIBD DWP).
