PUBLIC WORKS - ADMINISTRATION DESCRIPTION The Department of Public Works provides a wide range of services in support of the economic vitality and quality of life of the City of Suffolk and its citizens including fleet management, refuse collection, stormwater and mosquito control, roadway maintenance, traffic engineering, and transit services. FY 23 OBJECTIVES Deliver high quality programs and services within allocated resources. Protect health and safety by providing exceptional and cost-effective solid waste collection and disposal. Provide safe roads and adequate traffic signals for quality transportation and travel options. Provide for citizen engagement and feedback regarding department programs, services, and projects.
