The October School Holidays are just around the corner and we encourage you to be active in your local community, meet new people and have lots of fun. Netball Fours Netball Fours is an innovative new game designed by the City of Salisbury. Played in the goal third of a netball court with only four players on each team, it is a fast moving version of netball with modified rules. Anyone is welcome to come out and join in the fun on Friday 9 October at Para Hills West Wanderers Netball Club. Adelaide Thunderbird Kate Shimmin will be there to MC the event, a DJ , barbeque and canteen facilities and plenty of prizes and giveaways! Age Groups Girls 10 & Under, 13 & Under, 15 & Under and 16+ Boys 10 & Under, 13 & Under, 15 & Under and 16+ Mixed 35+ $25 per team - maximum of 7 players in a team. From 6pm to 9.30pm. Growing for Gold The Growing for Gold program encourages young people aged three to 16 to participate in sporting and recreational activities within their local community. The program is run during the September/October school holidays. Throughout the program, local sport and recreation providers are invited to open their doors to promote their club activities FREE of charge to participants. With over 20 sports to choose from, there is an activity for everyone, and if you like the sport so much and join that club, we will give you a $30 voucher to spend at Sportspower Parabanks. Rising Stars Netball Clinic Adelaide Thunderbird Kate Shimmin is looking for Salisbury’s rising stars of netball. If you are nine or 10 years of age (as of 1 July 2015) come along and participate in a netball clinic and get a taste of what it’s like to be in the STAA - Salisbury Talented Athletics Academy - Netball Player Development Program.
