Welcome to the Salisbury Sport newsletter, providing you with an update on sport and recreation activities within the City of Salisbury. The July School Holidays are just around the corner and we encourage you to get out and about and enjoy the many ways you can be active in your local community, meet new people and have lots of fun. STAA Programs STAA Netball Player Development Program The Salisbury Talented Athletes Academy (STAA) is a sports performance program aimed at supporting talented young athletes in Salisbury. The Netball Player Development Program will provide the opportunity for aspiring young netballers in Salisbury to develop their game and receive professional coaching from former Adelaide Thunderbirds and High Performance Coach Marg Angove and current Adelaide Thunderbirds player and Netball Ambassador for Salisbury Kate Shimmin during terms 3 and 4, 2014. To be selected for the program you will need to participate in Stage 1 of the trials being held: Where:

School Holidays - Basketball Battle Grounds A fun and exciting new school holiday basketball ground that will put your basketball skills to the test, hosted by former basketball player and Streetball legend Kenneth Brunner, for players aged eight to 14 years (all abilities welcome). Where:

Our recreation centres welcome the opportunity to play you in a team. Our next season commences Term 3 2014. Aussie Hoops Aussie Hoops is an introductory program coordinated by Basketball SA Development Officers giving children, aged five to 12 a fun taste of what basketball is all about. Your child will have the opportunity to learn some skills of the game in a fun, non-competitive environment. Where:
