Welcome to the 2023 Miramar Summer Playbook. This is your guide to the various camps offered by the Parks and Recreation Department, Miramar Cultural Center and Miramarvels. Every week we offer different themed camps for children to enjoy. They will make new friends, and have fun as they explore new sports, arts and interests. They will come away with new pursuits, develop their social skills and participate in outdoor activities. We hope to create memories that will last a life time.

Sprint Away
Focus on running fundamentals. Better run times, work in teams, and push limits. Then wrap it up with a “Strong Grip Ninja Course” test.
Going the Distance
The campers will compete in a recreational friendly environment by working on their endurance, flexibility, speed and conditioning through a variety of athletic activities.
Up, Up and Away
Leap to new heights. Log jump, high jump, triple jump, pole vault. Finish off with a trip to Off the Wall Trampoline Center.
Jump ‘n Throw
Let’s throw and jump ourselves even further as we push our personal best.
Catch Me If You Can
Sprinters Camp that focuses on running fundamentals, technique and training. Fun activities and a field trip to Castaway Island at TY Park.

An eight-week visual and performing arts camp with professional performers/teaching artists and a culminating on-stage public performance showcase of the students’ hard work.
Registration fee: $50 non-refundable – Residents and Non-residents. Camp fee: $1,300 Miramar residents, $1,560 Non-residents. Payable in three monthly installments on April 5, May 5 and June 5, 2023.
Includes tee shirt, cultural field trips, use of instruments, Kids Kitchen, Lunch and Learn with guest presenters, before/after care, art supplies and other materials.

Registration Requirements
Children who live in Miramar are eligible for resident rate. For registration, please provide participant’s birth certificate and one of the following:
• Current Driver’s License with current Miramar address
• Most recent electric bill or water bill
• Homestead Exemption Notice
Refund Policy
Due to the seasonal nature of our camps, we are prohibited from issuing any refunds or credits within fourteen days of the camp start date for any cause. Refunds will only be issued if written request is received fourteen (14) days prior to commencement of camp. No refunds or credits will be issued because of non-attendance of a child from camp, nor if closed due to safety concerns, inclement weather, power loss, or other emergencies out of the department’s control. Refund requests must be received in writing fourteen days in advance of program start date to receive a full refund, less the $25.00 registration fee. (Refunds will be issued by the same form of payment. NO Cash Refunds). The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel under-enrolled programs, in which case the fee will be refunded.
