Orchestra Noir with Trina Orchestral & Hip-Hop

The ‘Diamond Princess’, Trina, will join Orchestra Noir, Atlanta’s acclaimed all-black orchestra for a one night only concert. To celebrate the 50th year anniversary of hip-hop, conductor, Maestro Jason Ikeem Rodgers will lead the orchestra in bringing Trina’s biggest hits, along with other hip-hop anthems to life with live instruments throughout this high energy event.

Art and craft for kids, youth forum, outdoor music and dance, cultural presentations, face painting, a tour of the exhibit in the Ansin Family Art Gallery, art and craft vendors and food samplings. Little Shop of Horrors Musical Theatre


Follow the misadventures of Seymour Krelborn, the dorky floral assistant at Mushnick’s Flower Shop. When Seymour stumbles upon a unique plant, who he dubs Audrey II after his love-interest, he finds the talking plant can bring him everything he’s ever wanted, with lethal consequences. Audrey II becomes a sensation, bringing Seymour and the flower shop more fame than they could have ever imagined.

Kids art class with artist Willandra Mcgahee in celebration of Black History month. Students will learn about the creative style of American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. With Basquiat’s artwork for inspiration, the student artists will create an image that reflects his ‘graffiti’ style while bursting with individual creativity.

Brandon Clark explores Black artistic expression within the context of the past (and sometimes current) discriminatory practice of redlining within communities of color. Clarke’s artwork wrestles with a range of critical questions about space, design, and architecture.
Celebrating Cuban Art Expressions

Cuban artists offer a broader view of Hispanic culture and the specific themes that are included in their exhibited works. Artists include Esteban Machado Díaz, Arturo Montoto Echevarría, Alicia de la Campa Pak, Miguel Ángel Couret and Sinecio Cuétara Meneses.
