The five-member Airport Commission was established in 1958. At least three members must be pilots. The Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council, Planning and Staff on matters involving the Livermore Municipal Airport.

The Beautification Committee is currently comprised of four members who represent the community at-large and serve fouryear terms. The duties and responsibilities of this Committee include review of Tree Action Permit denial appeals, selection and presentation of annual Beautification Awards, participation in the Arbor Day/Earth Day Celebration, and other projects to enhance City aesthetics.

The Planning Commission advises the City Council on the adoption and ongoing implementation of the General Plan, Development Code, and Specific Plan areas, addressing land use issues and the physical growth of the City. Additional responsibilities include review of architecture, site layout, and landscaping for new development projects.

The Livermore Housing Authority provides safe, decent, and quality affordable housing for low-income families, seniors, veterans and persons with disabilities in the City of Livermore. Among the housing programs at the Authority are the Section 8 Voucher Program, a 125-unit property of Public Housing units located at Leahy Square, and 42 Affordable Housing units throughout the City of Livermore.

The Commission for the Arts serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters pertaining to cultural arts programs, arts education, and the approval and placement of public art. The Commission also works closely with City staff to support artistic achievement and talent, especially among the youth; enhance Livermore’s art and cultural activities; and establish Livermore as a premier destination in the Tri-Valley region.

CAMP’s mission is to create a group of well-informed, interested participants; share information between the community and City Staff; brainstorm ideas and solutions to infrastructure problems; obtain community feedback on various infrastructure strategies and priorities; and to assist in fostering an open dialogue with the community regarding the state and management of the City's various infrastructure systems.

The Commission supports the work completed by the local service agencies, submits an annual report to the City Council on the status of social conditions in the City, and provides advice on achieving solutions to the community’s needs.
