Manners and Etiquette Today

Medieval Dance

A fun, hands-on, interactive class designed to enhance your self-confidence and improve your people skills. Learn how to meet and greet people, the formula for a proper introduction, the importance of eye contact and body language, the use of conversational clues and verbal padding, and dining etiquette. The class will include seven one hour sessions with lectures, discussions, role play scenarios and the basics of social dancing. Parents are invited to attend for free. Come dance with your child! Learn the original ballroom dance that was used by fighters, nobles and soldiers before it was labeled ballroom dancing. (Dances from the 800's-1490's.) Participants will gain knowledge of basic dance term, and step by step instructions. All levels of dancing experience are welcome. Wear comfortable, family friendly clothing. Please no shoes with heels. Children under age of five must be accompanied by an adult at all times Thurs 6:30-8:30pm $3 per person

— Pre-Ballet Dance Play (Ages 3-5) Teaching creative play and socialization through dance movements, the child learns poise and balance through stretching and breathing. Dancers learn direction, grace, poise, tempo and how to work as a group. They learn isolation by focusing on one part of the body. These can be basic movements to an adult, but a child can have difficulty coordinating, rhythm and tempo. — Writers' 4 All Seasons Writers 4 all seasons is a group of multi-genre and skill level writers. Our purpose is to acquire knowledge and improve skill in the craft of writing. In a relaxed, non-judgmental environment, we support and encourage each other through positive, helpful critique and discussions. Our group is for all writers- aspiring, novice, seasoned or published. Anyone who loves the written or spoken word is welcome!
