Dog Obedience Classes (Ages 16+)

Qualified instructors will teach owners and dogs basic commands and socialization skills. Dogs must be at least eight weeks old. Participants must bring their pet's shot records, a six-foot, non-retractable leash, a choke collar and treats. Fall Leaf Kayak Tour (Ages 16+)

Enjoy a guided kayak tour of the lovely Arnold J. Koonce, Jr. City Lake during its most scenic season. On our tour, we will see an abundance of beautiful colors with the changing of the leaves; we may even see some wildlife! Registration begins October 1. High Point City Lake Park Saturday, October 30, 10 a.m. - noon $6 with personal kayak, $15 with single kayak rental $22 with tandem kayak rental

Adult Open Gym (Ages 18+)

Adult Open Gym is a time for adults to play pickup basketball in a casual setting. Friendly competition is welcomed. Participants may check out a basketball or bring their own.

Twilight Golf Rates (Ages 22+)

Time varies with each season. Blair Park Golf Course - $21 with cart/$13 to walk Oak Hollow Golf Course - $25 with cart/$17 to walk Mondays - Fridays September 7 - October 29 begins at 2 p.m. November 1, 2021 - February 25, 2022, begins at 1 p.m.

Winter Golf Rates (Ages 22+)

Rates include green and cart fees and a $3 voucher for food in our grill rooms. Blair Park Golf Course - $18 Monday through Friday and $22 on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. To make your tee time, please call 336.883.3497. Oak Hollow Golf Course - $26 for non-seniors and $20 for seniors Monday through Friday. Rates are $30 on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Body Boost (Ages 18+)

Boost your body! Participation in this strength and cardio workout, taught by a certified personal trainer, will boost your strength and your energy. Participants use free weights and a yoga mat. Adult Beginner/Intermediate Level Tennis (Ages 18+)

All of the basic skills of tennis will be covered. Learn about match play, proper technique and court movement. Oak Hollow Tennis Center Saturdays, October 30 - December 18, 1 - 2 p.m. $98 per person, $18 drop-in

Birdwatching Basics (Ages 18+)

Flock to PEC to learn the basics of birdwatching! Staff naturalists will share insight about the tools you need and what to look for when identifying birds. After observing the birds at the feeding station, we will go on a short hike to visit other birdwatching locations. This class is intended for beginner birdwatchers. Binoculars will be available for those that don't have them. Piedmont Environmental Center Saturday, November 20, 8 - 10 a.m. $3 per person, free for PEC members

Holiday Parade of Boats (Ages 18+)

Show off your holiday spirit at our first Holiday Parade of Boats on beautiful Oak Hollow Lake. Powered boats and nonpowered boats are welcome. Participants line up at the marina beginning at 5 p.m. Parade starts at 6 p.m. First place prizes will be awarded in four categories. Spectators are invited to view the holiday parade from the shoreline at Festival Park and help choose the winners! Please call 336.883.3494 for more information.
