TOURISM WITH RESPONSIBILITY

Tourism has always been a pillar of the dynamic Coffs Harbour economy, but the mindset around this is evolving to an emphasis on quality rather than volume.

Testament of that shift was the honour of becoming NSW’s first certified ECO Destination. To even be considered for such an acknowledgement demands a resolute commitment to sustainable tourism where visitors and experiences tread lightly on the natural environment.

Coffs Harbour has shown it’s playing for keeps on this front, achieving ECO Destination re-certification after an exhaustive independent evaluation process.

Targeting domestic and international visitors who value Coffs Harbour’s natural beauty, the Coffs Coast Tourism Strategy aims to stoke a thriving visitor economy and provide local economic and employment opportunities in accommodation, hospitality, retail and tourism attractions and services.
