TASTING AUSTRALIA COMES TO THE CITY OF CHARLES STURT

Tasting Australia returns in 2023

from 28 April to 7 May with a mouth-watering celebration of the best eating and drinking experiences in South Australia.

We’re proud to share that we’ll have some delicious food and beverage events being held in our City this year with local people, produce and places where you can ‘taste the world’ and hear the stories of some of the 105 cultures that make up the City of Charles Sturt.

Nonna’s Cucina’s Pig Day

Join Rosa Matto, Nonna Maria, Nonna Nancy, Chef Stefan Demasi and the Nonna’s Cucina family at an event that will warm your heart and fill your belly as they share the food, wine, stories and family secrets of an enduring ItalianAustralian winter ritual. This 4 hour ‘Pig Day Out’ is a long table feast and guided masterclass through the annual Italian family institution of breaking down a pig – head to toe, to create delicious Italian smallgoods for the year ahead.

Ukrainian Varenyky Masterclass

In this very special dumpling masterclass you will learn how to cook Ukranian varenyky from the experts - the Ukranian Women’s Association. Ukraine is the motherland to Varenyky and to Ukranians these silky plump parcels of potato and other flavours are much more than food. Their love for the humble varenyky has been immortalised in poems, songs, movies, and even monuments.

Beer Mediterranean Feast

Join the team to learn about and taste beer varieties with a shared four-course long lunch from Evi’s Grecian Delights.

Gelista Curated Tasting and Tour 2023
