WE LOVE OUR PETS LIKE FAMILY

To help you care for the health and wellbeing of your pet, we are offering financial assistance to desex and/or microchip your dog or cat.

• Work with other young people who are passionate and like-minded

• Increase your confidence and work ready skills

• Develop marketing skills including social media

Successful applicants will become YEL! members for a period of 12 months and will work with the Youth Development Team to codesign and co-lead a series of events and programs.

In South Australia, it’s compulsory for all dogs and cats to be:

• Microchipped by 3 months of age or within 28 days of ownership

• Desexed by 6 months of age, or within 28 days of ownership, if they are born after 1 July 2018

When you desex and microchip your pet, you’re doing yourself, your pet and your community a big favour.

Desexing and microchipping your pet has many benefits:

• Improves pet’s health and longevity

• Prevents unwanted litters

• Helps reunite you with your pet as quickly as possible if they get lost
