GARDENING SERVICES

We know how much your garden can mean to you and how important it is for your health and wellbeing. Our Home Maintenance workers and gardening contractors deliver general gardening services to eligible residents who need some assistance to maintain their garden. We offer:

• Annual pruning of trees, shrubs, and hedges (height limitations apply)

• Basic annual yard clean-up

• Annual rubbish removal (green and hard waste)

• Gutter cleaning

• Weed poisoning

• Summer insect spray

Our services do not include lawn mowing. A risk assessment may be carried out before commencing work.

If you have an area in your garden which poses a safety and security risk or a health hazard (e.g. a dangerous tree or overhanging branches obstructing windows or pathways) you may contact Council on 8408 1111 for assistance.

We also offer light gardening services through our Volunteer Gardening Program. Our volunteers can deliver basic duties such as:

• Rose pruning

• Mulching

•

Light trimming of small trees, shrubs, and hedges

• Re-potting of plants

• Mulching of garden beds

• Raking of leaves

• De-cobwebbing outdoor areas

• Washing down roller shutters
