Project Sports for All

The Sport for All Project is in its third phase in Cabreúva and is the result of an initiative by the Federal Government, through the Sports Incentive Law.

The project, which has classes held at the Arena Cabreúva, seeks to develop the practice of various sports in the city to, who knows, but not having this as its only objective, to make local athletes emerge who one day reach the big competitions.

To encourage quality of life through daily sports practice, the City Hall of Cabreúva, through its

Sports Department, offers sports schools in various parts of the city, offering to attract children, teenagers and older people through football modalities. field, futsal, gymnastics, athletics, capoeira, tennis, adapted volleyball and volleyball; among others.

‘Best in Sports’ Award

But it is not enough just to attract the population to practice sports without recognizing those who already help build Cabreúva’s sporting legacy. As a way of recognizing athletes who stand out in sports initiatives carried out by the City Hall, in 2022 we held the first edition of the ‘Best in Sports’ Award.

By way granted by the Secretariat of Sports in a ceremony at the end of last year’s sports calendar, it awarded athletes and personalities who stood out in the modalities in which they operate. In addition to a form of recognition for the winners’ achievements, the award, which will have a new edition at the end of 2023, seeks to encourage the city’s athletes to seek one of the trophies and awards, stimulating the development of the level of sports activities practiced in Cabreúva, mainly because the award recognizes athletes from different activities, from soccer to athletics, court activities, to dance.

The boules tradition maintained and revitalized

Among the recovery actions of the spaces destined to the practice of sports in the city, the Secretariat of Sports carried out the complete revitalization of the Boccia Space Councilor Nelson Emanoeli. Present in the life of the city’s population for more than 20 years, the traditional stronghold of boccia practitioners has two lanes, which underwent works and are now more modern, with new colors and better infrastructure for the practice of sports.

It is a leisure space much sought after by bocce players, who find there the right place to exercise their skills, as well as to socialize and interact with other regulars.
