Program ‘Mais Pecuária Brasil’

Recently launched, the Program “Mais Pecuária Brasil” brings the biotechnology of artificial insemination by the IATF system for cattle, both beef and dairy, at zero cost for small rural producers in the municipality.

Cabreúva is now also part of this initiative and, with that, it has the opportunity to strengthen small producers, who depend on family livestock for their subsistence, in addition to contributing to the increase in income of these small producers and even to the creation of jobs and income in its surroundings.

The Program ‘Mais Pecuária Brasil’ was developed through a Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Federal Government, the National Confederation of Family Farmers and Rural Family Entrepreneurs (CONAFER) and the municipalities.

Rural Council

Since 1997, the Rural Council has been active in Cabreúva. With the holding of bimonthly meetings with the presence of small rural producers in the city, it plays an important role in the rural issue.

Discussing proposals and solutions for the rural areas of the municipality, it directly contributes to development in the countryside. The Council is open to the participation of citizens. Those interested in participating should contact the city’s Department for Economic Development, Agribusiness, Industry and Commerce.

Feira da Lua

A good option for leisure and promotion of the local economy and income generation is Feira da Lua.

With gastronomic wealth, having a varied menu that goes from the traditional fair pastry to tasty broths, not to mention the countless mouth-watering desserts, it is a success.

There is also an area dedicated to handicrafts, selling rugs, air fresheners and amigurumis; among others. The Fair is held on Thursdays at Praça da Biblia, in Jacaré and on Fridays at Praça Comendador Martins, in the city center; from 6 pm to 10 pm.

New opportunities

At the end of last year, Cabreúva City Hall received representatives from AVSI Brasil, responsible for promoting the integration of Venezuelan refugees and migrants from Roraima who opted for voluntary interiorization.

Participating in the project ‘Welcome through Work’, the 12 Venezuelans, who arrived in the municipality and work in a private company, have temporary housing and social support.
