Annual Registration Fee
A mandatory $25 annual registration fee is required to participate in recreation and aquatic classes, lessons, camps, leagues, and programs. This per household annual fee is valid for one year from the date of purchase and required at the time of registration Once purchased all household members are eligible for enrollment Annual registration fees are nonrefundable
Refund Policy
Except as otherwise stated, refunds or credits will not be issued after payment has been made for an activity, class, league or program.
Exceptions include:

• If a program or class is cancelled by the City of Litchfield Park
If a participant is injured, ill, or has a medical condition preventing them from participating Written documention from a medical provider must accompany the refund request
Refund requests outside of the stated exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are made at the discretion of the Community & Recreation Services Director and are not guarenteed. A $10 administrative fee will be deducted from all approved refund requests.

Residency
Welcome to the Litchfield Park Recreation Center! You do not need to live in our city to register for our recreation programs, but it is important for us to know if you live in within our city limits Why? People who live or own property within the boundaries of our city are eligible for special discounted rates
There are many people who live in Litchfield Park that are not city residents They live in county islands that surround the City of Litchfield Park but remain outside of our city boundaries If have a Litchfield Park mailing address but do not pay for city services or vote in city elections, then you live in a county island and are considered a non-resident.
If you are not sure whether you are a resident, please check your property tax bill or call us at 623-935-9040 for assistance You can also check your residency status by viewing the current Map of City Limits
Acceptable forms of proof of residence or property ownership include:

Military Discount
Active-duty US military personnel, their spouses, and their dependents (living in the same household) qualify for our discounted resident rates on memberships, rentals, and programs offered by the Community and Recreation Services Department. To receive the resident rates, you must present your valid active-duty United States Armed Forces ID card in person at the Recreation Center Our staff will attach the discount to your household account Discounts do not apply to third party activity providers
Weather Policy
AQUATICS - In the event an Aquatics class is cancelled due to inclement weather, one make-up lesson will be offered per session Details will be emailed to affected participants
YOUTH SPORTS - In the event games are cancelled due to inclement weather, no make-up games will be scheduled. Practices may be rescheduled at the coach’s discretion.
SPECIAL EVENTS - Events are typically held rain or shine. If an event is cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather, updates will be posted to our website and social media accounts. Affected participants or ticket holders will receive direct communications

Litchfield Lagartos Summer Swim Team
Registration for the 2024 Lagartos Summer Swim Team will begin on Monday, April 15, 2024 and end on Friday, June 14 The Lagartos swim team is a summer recreational team with swim coaches dedicated to participants learning all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle), building endurance and swimming skills in a fun, low stress, and safe environment! Participants will make new friends and be introduced to the competitive swimming world all while improving their swimming skills. Lagartos is designed for children 4 - 18 years of age. In person registration only.

Participants must be able to swim one lap of the pool (25 yards) unassisted. The age group the participant will swim in is determined by their age on June 1, 2024 due to league regulations.*
*Swim-up Policy: If a participant between the ages of 9 - 14 has participated in any swimming team/club outside of the MarWest League from August 1, 2023 thru May 1, 2024, the participant must compete one age group higher due to league restrictions.

Youth group lessons are held for two consecutive weeks, Monday - Thursday for 30 minute lessons Recommended for children 6 - 14 years old The Litchfield Park Rec Center is streamlining its registration process for youth group lessons! When registering for swim lessons all you need to do is choose the session date and time that works best for your schedule For in depth swim level descriptions, go to litchfieldpark gov/160
LPRC Instructors are American Red Cross certified and will conduct a quick 10 minute skills assessment on the first day of class to evaluate your child’s swimming skills. From there your child will be placed in the appropriate class, along with other similarly skilled children. All classes will maintain a 1 instructor to 8-10 participants ratio and will be 30 minutes in length. Maximum of 32 participants per session time. R = Resident NR = Non-Resident
Intended for preschool aged children (3 - 6 years old) who are being introduced to water and are ready for the first stages of swimming This class introduces basic aquatic skills: being comfortable in the water, developing positive attitudes and effective habits to be safe in and around the water, blowing bubbles, back floats, front and back glides, learning good kicks, and arm movements Lessons are held for two consecutive weeks, Monday - Thursday

The foundation of Parent-Tot is for participants to gain a set of basic skills that help prepare infants and young children to become comfortable in the water so they are willing and ready to learn to swim. This class also provides parents with information and techniques to create safer aquatic environments for their children. A parent or guardian must be in the water with their child at all times and a swim diaper must be worn if not potty-trained. Maximum of 8 participants per session time. R = Resident NR = Non-Resident

This an introduction course to basic aquatic lifesaving and first aid for minors seeking to learn more about becoming a Lifeguard. Preschool Program
Students that are enrolling in ABC Explorers must be 4 years of age on August 1, 2024 but do not turn 5 before January 1, 2025. Adventures in Learning students must be 3.5 or 4 years of age on August 1, 2024.
Overview
Our preschool program provides many opportunities for children to discover and learn while exploring the world around them We offer a progressive theme-based curriculum including story time, art, creative social play, music/movement, small and large motor skills as well as alpha numeric concepts in a sensitive and safe learning environment. Our preschool program offers low student to teacher ratios so that each child will have the opportunity for individual attention We conveniently offer morning and afternoon classes Classes start in August 2024 and are ongoing through May 2025
Registration
August enrollees must schedule a tour with the teacher, remit 50% of their August tuition plus the $40 materials fee, which are non-refundable. All August balances are due by July 15. Monthly tuition is due by the 15th of the month. If tuition remains unpaid on the 16th a $15 late fee will be assessed. Online registration is not available for this program. Enrollment approval from the preschool teacher is required. We accept new enrollments any time during the school year providing there is space availability.

• All patrons utilize the Rec Center facilities and participate in activities at their own risk.
• Children 9 and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times, unless the child is participating in a supervised recreation program. Please see the Front Desk for specific policies regarding weight room and pool use by minors.
• Patrons must wear appropriate attire at all times. Clothing that is offensive, suggestive or overly revealing is not allowed. Shoes and shirts are required at all times, except while in the pool area. Proper swim attire is required in order to swim in the pool. Anyone in violation of the dress code will be asked to change clothes or leave the facility.
• Use of cameras, cell phone cameras, and video cameras are prohibited in all bathrooms and changing rooms. Any photography must be approved by management.
• Smoking devices, tobacco, drugs, alcohol, and weapons are prohibited while using the Rec Center facilities.
• Animals are prohibited unless they are registered service animals accompanying persons with disabilities or special needs.
• Please be aware of and follow all posted rules and guidelines.
Code of Conduct
The City of Litchfield Park expects reasonable and appropriate behavior from those who visit and use the facilities and participate in activities. The Community and Recreation Services Department has established a code of conduct to ensure safety and enjoyment and reserves the right to deny admission and/or take disciplinary action against any individual violating the code of conduct. A violation includes, but is not limited to, the use of obscene language or gestures, disorderly conduct, theft, use of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco products, sexual misconduct, indecency, harassment, failure to cooperate with staff, possession of weapons of any kind, non-compliance with established policies and rules, an unlawful activity and any other behavior deemed offensive or unacceptable. Staff will enforce this code of conduct.
