December 1, 2021 Update On November 10th, Department Heads participated in a workshop titled, Creating and Maintaining a Culture of Equity and Inclusion. The workshop provided opportunities for participants to have a deeper appreciation of the central concerns that arise when discussing diversity, equity, and inclusion. They also learned how to foster equity and inclusion within the city as an organization and the community. The workshop provided a mixture of presentations and group activities. The next step is to engage employees interested in becoming a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion.
