Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is a huge focus of CIS, which is why we have our Citizenship Forum in place.

The Citizenship Forum comprises of volunteers from across the business to have a voice about developing strategies for the better. The forum focusses on a variety of items, including EDI, Culture, Creating Healthy Working Environments, Teamworking, Staff Engagement and Career & Development Opportunities. Within the forum, all volunteers try their best to be the voice from the ground.

Pride Month 2023

From Hyde Park Corner to Whitehall Place, over 500 groups and 30,000+ participants will march in the iconic Pride in London Parade. After our successful collaboration with the wider security industry at Pride 2022, We can’t wait to participate in Pride London 2023!

As part of our Inclusive Citizenship initiatives, we reached out for volunteers who would like to join in the fun at the London Pride Parade event taking place on Saturday 1st July 2023, representing CIS Security and the wider security industry.

We believe this strengthens our togetherness with the wider industry, a real collective approach to improving inclusivity in our sector.

Hi Vis Day is in place for the The City Security Council security stakeholders to work collaboratively with the City of London Police, The London Fire Brigade and the City of London Corporation, to provide resources to support a high visibility deployment to demonstrate partnership, provide reassurance, and promote engagement with those who live, work and socialise in the City of London. Hi Vis Day, which took place on the 20th April included Police and associated partner hubs covering; Cycle and Traffic Safety, Security Advice, Wellbeing, Suicide Awareness and Operation Reframe (Violence Against Women and Girls).
