DONATIONS

CIS actively support and encourage our employees to volunteer. Volunteering is a social pillar within ESG, and is the commitment of time and energy for the benefit of society and the community, the environment, or individuals outside (or in addition to) one’s immediate family.

The Soup Kitchen In Whitfield Street

In April last month, Account Director, Kieron Nunney, and Property Manager Lucie Frater, attended The Soup Kitchen in Whitfield Street.

Established in 1986, The Soup Kitchen is a resource for the homeless, elderly, lonely and vulnerable in London. It provides free nutritious meals, clothing, toiletries and a sense of belonging to hundreds of people each day.

Kieron leads this initiative as part of the Service Excellence Group at Paternoster Square Estate and Warwick Court and in partnership with The Soup Kitchen, monthly volunteering opportunities will soon be made available.

Kieron stated;

“It was fantastic to be part of this initiative, I have a genuine belief in giving back to the community and it was an honour to assist with the food preparation and to serve up to 100 individuals. Giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference, and I am looking forward to this becoming a regular occurrence through the Service Excellence Group”.

ESG AWARENESS:

All our employees receive ESG training, this is done at the very beginning of their CIS journey, through inductions where ESG is introduced at a high level and also giving staff the opportunity to opt into becoming a ESG champion.

There is also a more enhanced mandatory ESG awareness course for all staff at CIS, this course is to be completed semi-annually and consists of training on the specific pillars of ESG, followed by a questionnaire at the end of the course.

Training

The course was created In order to drive the importance of ESG within the company as we believe a collective approach will ensure a robust framework and structure within the company in relation to ESG and sustainability. There is discussion of the awareness course being launched on our e-learning platform EdApp.
