As the UK throw away approximately 98 billion pieces of plastic packaging a year, With just 12% of our household plastic packaging waste being recycled, and the rest is burnt, landfilled, or exported. With these shocking statistics, it is important to us to take action at CIS by continuing to reduce the amount of single use plastics at the head office and the sites we operate within.

We have a flexible working policy which allows our Head Office staff to work from home and the office. When our staff do decide to work from home this also reduces our scope 3 emissions, as staff do not haveto commute into work.

Our HQ use 100% sourced electricity from renewable energy.

As a result, we have provided all our staff at The Wellcome Trust with thermal bottles to commit to our sustainability approach towards the reduction of plastic usage.
