GOOD FOR YOU: A LETTER FOR HUMANITY

by Muhammad Reza - SCORP CIMSA UI

Dear you, who stand tall underneath a steady roof. Does it feel nice that those warm wool and smooth silk protect you from the cold night? Does it feel nice when white bread and fine wine make your pants feels tight? It does feel nice when blue sky greets you upon exiting that cozy house of yours, right? If so, good for you.

Dear you, who talk and talk without knowing when to stop. Are you happy that now I am torn apart? Are you satisfied now that I am dead as you took my heart? Does it give you pleasure when everyone mistakes me for a work of art? If so, good for you.

Dear you, who chased stars upon stars by taking away someone’s rights. Where does your ego take you now? Are you so high up that you forget to whom you must bow? So shameless that many must suffer just to satisfy your cashflow? If so, good for you.

For now, it’s just good for you. Good for you, your family and your colleagues. But what’s left for me? For us? What’s left for the future?
