LETTER 2.0
LENSES THROUGH THE WORLD
SCOPE CIMSA UI proudly held LETTER 2.0 with the theme “Awakening Community Potential as Fundamental for being a Better Health System.” We feel the need to carry this theme because in a system, not only one party, the healthcare provider, but a community also become the foundation for a health system to run well.
LETTER 2.0 is divided into several sessions. The first session explained the importance of community empowerment by Santi Budiasih, MD, a pediatrician in Wisconsin, USA. Furthermore, the second session was presented by Triana Rahmawati, a founder of Griya Schizofren, who explained about Sociopreuner and stories from the community empowerment program that she founded. After the two resource persons explained each material, they answered the questions in the Question and Answer session, guided by the Moderator, dr. Fahmi Kurniawan. The questions posed were highly educated and reflect the critical thinking of the participants. Some asked about the potential of the people in Indonesia, how to improve society’s quality as the start of creating good nation health, and the differences that exist with other developed countries. The various and edifying questions were asked by the enthusiastic participants, making the event, which lasted two hours, not felt as if it was over.
We are thrilled to do this activity again with more thoughtprovoking themes about the health system around the world!
