National Doctor’s Day is celebrated every 24th of October and is regularly celebrated by SCOME CIMSA UI. To raise awareness of National Doctor’s Day, SCOME CIMSA UI held an online talkshow live on instagram and challenge snapgram before the day as pre-event program. The speaker for instagram live was dr. Eva Sri Diana, Sp.P from IDI South Jakarta. The instagram talkshow is focusing on the struggle of doctors in this COVID-19 pandemic. The challenge snapgram was held on 19th – 21st October 2020 by uploading message for doctor to stay strong during the pandemic because they are one of the front line fighters against the COVID-19 pandemic. The total of challenge snapgram will be exchange for personal protective equipment to the hospital that need a personal protective equipment supply.

The doctors have been fighting against the pandemics for 7 months, so this year SCOME CIMSA UI celebrates National Doctor’s Day by holding a HERO event with the theme “Doctor’s Struggle during the COVID-19 Pandemic”. The obligation to maintain physical distance did not stop SCOME CIMSA UI from appreciating the doctors. SCOME CIMSA UI implements HERO by giving virtual thank you cards to doctors and alumni, not only greeting cards, but flowers are also given without meeting in person. Apart from that, HERO also held a meeting with dr. Astuti Giantini, Sp.PK, MPH, as the main director of the University of Indonesia Hospital through zoom meeting. She really appreciated this HERO event, she hoped that the virtual thank you card and flowers given can increase the spirit of doctor in fighting this COVID-19 pandemic.
