A little bit about us...

Mutneys Professional Pet Care have been manufacturing and supplying high quality, professional grade grooming equipment for over 20 years! The business was started by Jamie & Stephanie Roberts, who have both been brought up with dog grooming and wanted to start a company that truly believes in providing groomers with quality products and advice.

Today we are still supplying the best products available and we pride ourselves on our high level of customer service. A member of our knowledgeable and friendly team is always on hand to answer any questions that may come up along the way.

We manufacture many of our products at our premises in Shropshire and work tirelessly to source high quality products, which are also made here in the UK, exclusively for you and your pets! All this adds up to a range that you can be sure will live up to the job of professional grooming.

Our Shampoos and Fragrance Sprays have been developed in working salons over the last 20 years to ensure that they’re the best professional products available for busy groomers and pet owners who want to pamper their pooch. Mutneys Shampoos and Conditioners dilute well to make them economical and are pH balanced to protect the natural oils found in a dog’s coat.

Our Tables,Trolleys and Drying Cabinets can be made to order and are hand finished by our master craftsmen at our premises in Shropshire. As we design and make these items we can continuously improve the design and modify certain elements to fit in with your needs, whether it's for a grooming salon or dog show.

Meet the Mutneys Team...

Samba

Our resident office dog and beloved pet of Managing Directors - Jamie & Stephanie. Samba is a particularly crazy German Short-haired Pointer, who enjoys rolling around in mud so much, that she has now become one of Mutneys primary product quality assessors. Her other interests include; lounging in her bed, ghost hunting and barking at her own reflection or delivery men in luminous jackets.

Dexter The latest addition to the Mutneys team and another office resident is Dexter, the German Short-haired Pointer.

Dexter is almost a year old.

A very bouncy and excitable companion to Samba. He likes destroying plastic bottles and cuddly toys in his spare time.

He particularly enjoys long walks and going to his puppy training classes.

Lulu

3 year old Springer Spaniel, Lilly, belongs to our Office Manager Louise. She has developed a reputation for stealing office equipment and rubbish out of the bin. She’s very excitable and goes rather bonkers over her favourite Liver treats. Lilly loves lots of fusses and cuddles, she’ll give you cute puppy eyes until she gets them!

This lovely rescue Collie belongs to our Van Visit Co-ordinator Janine.

He loves people and doesn’t like being left alone. He’s a huge fan of belly rubs and being brushed. Cal’s favourite past-times include playing in the garden. or at the seaside and being cuddled for hours on end.

Jack This adorable 16 year old Pembrokeshire Collie boy, belongs to our Sales & Admin Assistant, Lauren.

He’s very photogenic and is quite happy to sit and cuddle all day if he could! He is very sweet and tolerant of other dogs. His favourite past times include playing football, fine dining and exploring the countryside.

An adorably insane Border Collie, who belongs to our Purchasing & HR Manager Emma. Lulu enjoys such past times as landscape gardening, going for walks whatever the weather and eating anything in sight.You will normally find her taking up all the space on the sofa!

Lexi The young rescue Collie X, who lives with Holly our Marketing & Advertising Manager and her Pembrokeshire Collie Jack. Lexi is a very happy, bouncy dog, who knows lots of tricks, but hasn’t quite grasped the fact that the toilet is outside! Her most favourite things in the world are her toys; especially ones that squeak! Lexi loves to swim and will launch herself into any body of water she can find!

Getting Started...

sharpening, servicing & repairs With all those dogs to groom it’s important to keep your equipment in the best condition. Use our in-house sharpening and servicing department, with over 30 years combined experience, to ensure your equipment is ready for anything - including that Newfoundland that’s just been booked in!

how it works: 1

Package up your blades & clippers securely & post them to us, with your contact details and a covering letter noting what you would like doing and how you would like them returned to you. Also, please note down any problems you have had with your equipment.

This helps us to fix any problems efficiently for you.

2 When we have received them, we will book them into our sharpening & servicing department.

3 We will sharpen and service your equipment.

4 Once serviced, we will contact you for payment, securely package up your items and post them back to you.

5 Your equipment will arrive back with you, in great working order!

Need your equipment back in a rush??

For only £5.00 extra we will put all your equipment on our priority service, which means it will bumped up to the front of the queue! We then aim to get the work carried out and your items sent back out to you the same day* it arrives with us. *lead time is subject to staffing and dependant upon what time of day your equipment arrives with us, if it is after 1pm your equipment will be sent out for you the following working day

We also service and repair our blaster/dryers?

We do recommend that any Mutneys blaster that’s in heavy use, be serviced at least once year to keep it working at it’s best possible performance. Your blaster is thoroughly checked over inside and out, any dust or debris removed and faulty parts replaced.

We sharpen all brands and types of scissors, including Japanese, Hand-made, Thinners and Blenders. We will not tighten or adjust your scissors unless requested, as we believe this to be a matter of personal preference.

£27.99 - full clipper service -

We can service most clipper models from Aesculap, Oster, Andis and Moser, if you would like to service a pair of clippers not listed above, please give us a call and speak to a member of our team. This price includes PAT testing and repair charge, but excludes parts to be replaced.

This is a minimum repair charge, which does not include a full service or the cost of parts to be replaced.

PAT testing Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use within your salon. Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination but some types of defect can only be found by testing. A bit like an M.O.T for your car, it is required that you complete a PAT test once a year. We can do this for you included as part of your service for free or with your repair at your request.

These hard wearing plastic baths are suitable for all breeds & sizes of dogs and are shallow enough for most dogs to step into. We can also put a hole in the bottom for drainage if required. We have made these metal frames to hold the baths described above. They’re made from strong box steel and are powder coated to protect them against rust. The legs are removable for easy storage and these baths are very sturdy, which makes them suitable for any groomer or pet owner.

As we manufacture these frames, we can build your bath at a custom height if required, or we can powder coat the steel in a colour of your choice.

For only £20 extra you can have your bath frame a different colour to match your Salon!

It may add a bit of time on to the delivery date, but we think it’s worth the wait.
