Wawel’s Dragon

The Polish legend in the development of children from Kindergarten No. 8

The legend of the Wawel’s Dragon and young boy Szewczyk Dratewka In a city called Krakow there was a castle on the Wawel hill. The Vistula River was flowing nearby. People living there lived in peace and happiness. One day the peace of people was interrupted by the appearance of the terrible Dragon. People were afraid of him, he was terrified by his appearance. The Wawel Dragon caused a lot of damage. A lot of knights from different parts of the world tried to defeat the dragon, but to no avail. One day, poor Szewczyk appeared who had an idea how to defeat the Dragon. He pushed the lamb with dead sulfur and gave it up to eat the Dragon.  The dragon was a great glutton, he ate the lamb quickly and was terribly thirsty. He went to the river and drank ... he was drinking ... he was drinking ... until he was filled with water and sulfur - he broke! There was luck in Wawel again, Szewczyk Dratewka was rewarded from the king of the half kingdom and the hand of the princess, and people could live in peace.
