This restaurant is found in a fifteenth century merchant house on Winchcombe’s High Street. Local suppliers and organic produce is used wherever possible. Chandos and Dents Almshouses
Chandos Flats are situated just off Mill Lane, opposite St Peter’s Church. They are Grade 2 listed and were founded by Lady Dorothy Chandos of Sudeley Castle in 1573. The flats consist of ten studio apartments with separate bedroom area, shower room, and living area with alcove kitchen. There is also a larger one-bedroomed apartment with separate kitchen and large living room. There is communal gas-fired central heating and hot water, and there are two laundry rooms following an award-winning major refurbishment in 2018. Each flat has attractive views to the rear, with allotments available to rent separately. There is no parking. Dogs are not permitted. Dent’s Terrace is situated off Abbey Terrace next to the Plaisterer’s Arms, and is Grade 2 listed. It was founded by the Dent family of Sudeley Castle in 1865. The terrace is a row of ten cottages each with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and wet-room. All have gas-fired central heating. There are garden plots to the rear and side of the terrace, with allotments available to rent separately. There is no parking. Dogs are not permitted. A new park for all the community is being built off Greet Road, between Winchcombe Medical Centre and Winchcombe School. Construction commenced in July 2021 and is scheduled for completion early in 2022. As well as having seating and attractive planting, it will contain a bespoke Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), wheeled sports facility, outdoor gym, zip-wire and petanque terrain.
