U3A Art, The Story of
Every month The Story of Art session offers a focused and fascinating journey through how Art works – the history, fashions, hidden and not so hidden meanings and stories behind a series of linked works. You will gain insights into the wonders, styles, thought processes and influences of many famous artists and their times – and their patrons. Willow Craft Courses
Jane offers Willow Craft Courses to groups of up to 6 participants in a calm, quiet woodland setting. If you’d like to have a go at learning a new craft and make something to take away to enhance your home or garden, then get in touch. Jane also offers personalised courses, for one or two people or small groups of friends. All materials are supplied, and participants take their willow crafts home. FEES Prices vary, but start from £40-£45 for half day courses TIMES Half-day and full day courses are available, depending upon the activity. Drawing from a wide area inc. Winchcombe, we watch an opera from the Met, Covent Garden, Glyndebourne etc after a short introduction. Are you a secret shower singer? If that’s a yes, then good for you! Even Medics agree that singing is good for us. Singing in a choir sits head and shoulders above other forms of singing. St Peter’s Church Choir is a four part, robed choir, numbering 30+ choristers, including adults and children. We welcome singers of all ages and abilities. We are a group of singers and musicians, based in northern Gloucestershire, playing and singing music from Medieval times up to the mid 16th Century.
