BeSocial
The popular Winchcombe BeSocial Club (formerly the Day Care Centre) runs for older members of the community. Members join us for up to three days a week and enjoy activities & entertainment. It’s a chance to socialise, meet new friends (and old ones), and be supported in a welcoming and safe environment with tasty hot lunches and regular refreshments included. Members are entertained with ‘in-house’ games, talks, gentle movement, music and quizzes. The dedicated team is professionally qualified and trained and is helped by caring and kind volunteers.
BeSocial@theCentre provides a variety of both stimulating and fun activities that change weekly. We take part in national celebrations and stage themed activities around national events. We hold regular sessions of gentle exercise, craft work, games and music. We even have our own patio and small garden area where members enjoy those sunny summer days. This is a service to those who may feel socially isolated, live with conditions including memory loss, or are frail, elderly and less able to get around. Besocial offers respite for carers who can be safe in the knowledge that the person they are caring for is having a good and safe day out. TIMES 10am - 3pm.
