Jeff Henderson is a husband, father and the Lead Pastor of Gwinnett Church, the most recent multi-site location of North Point Ministries. Prior to Gwinnett Church, Jeff served as the Lead Pastor of Buckhead Church, North Point’s first multi-site location. He also spent 21 years in marketing, working with the Atlanta Braves, Callaway Gardens Resorts, Lake Lanier Islands Resorts and most recently Chick-fil-A, Inc. Jeff is a featured speaker on Chick-fil-A’s Leadercast.

Doors open at 6:30 PM for some “man-sized” refreshments in the Theater.

The program will begin at 7:30 PM in the Auditorium.

BELONGING TO CHRIST

I love the way the New Living Translation states one of my favorite verses: “…anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) I recently told the story of Jorge who came to me for prayer on a Sunday years ago. He felt God calling him to Beirut, Lebanon and wanted his pastor’s blessing on whatever God had for him there. Some time later I went to Beirut as part of a CBF mission team. While there I met Samer Mohammed, who prior to becoming a new creation in Christ, was in training as a Muslim Imam.

As we talked we discovered it was our Jorge God used to help him meet Christ! I told him I felt like he was my spiritual grandson since I had prayed for Jorge as he followed God’s call.

This month, Sunday February 14, Samer will be with us! I am happy to welcome him as one of our 90th Anniversary guests! You won’t want to miss this special day. So bring a friend and pray. Our text will be Jesus’ command to “love your enemies!” What better day than Valentine’s for us to share in this story of life changing love.

Sunset Property SUNSET PROPERTY UPDATE: We continue to make steady progress with the Sunset Property. With the lease signed, Somerset began and completed their due diligence phase, and are now finalizing site development plans and have submitted the proposal for zoning approval. We expect the approval process to take another six to eight months to complete. Once completed, and if approved, construction would likely begin on the school facility.

Christ Journey Church teams are simultaneously beginning the design development process for a church facility on Sunset, and will have a proposal for the church available in the coming months. You can get up to date information by visiting our dedicated page.
