A couple months ago, we entered a series called, “The WOW Factor.” Now, I don’t know what came to your mind, but here’s what came to mine with a title like that: a thoughtful gift, an exceptional meal, a meaningful word, a great concert… things that make me go, “Wow!” ...something soooo good, so thoughtful, so personal.

You know what didn’t come to mind right away? My everyday with God. Sure, I’ve had mountain moments where I’ve been keenly aware of His work and presence, but since that series, I’m taking Pastor Bill’s challenge to look for God’s “wow” everywhere. I’m learning that His “wow” is happening all the time. I’m just not always looking for it.

So here’s an easy way to look for God’s “wow” everywhere: W-O-W.

• Wonder • Observe • Worship Wonder what God is up to. (He’s always up to something.) Observe what God does. (He’s always doing something.) Then respond to Him in worship. (That’s always the right response.)

ORANGE SUNDAY IS COMING UP!

This is our big kick-off for the new ministry year. Preschoolers, kids and teens will be promoted to their new class or environment, see old friends and meet new volunteers that want to help them find and follow Christ. It is also our time to partner with parents about their unique role in the life of their child or teen. See, around here we don’t just want kids to be excited as they grow in their faith. We want to inspire and equip parents to be the best they can be at leading their families. We call that Thinking Orange.

Orange Sunday is the weekend to see first hand how Orange can help your family experience a more vibrant and abundant life in Christ.

Discovery Land (Babies – Pre-K) available during all worship experiences.

LEADERSHIP “Everybody wins when a leader gets better.” One of the greatest value-adds the Global Leadership Summit allows us to bring to Miami is the intentional betterment of leaders.

No other such opportunity in the world exists where people like us from every walk of life can come and be sharpened by the top performing leaders of our day.

We are happy this year to add the Federal Correctional Institution as our third GLS site. Jesus said, “I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Let’s pray for all who will be participating in the Summit at all three of our host sites that they will feel the inspiration of Christ in their life and work.

BAPTISM Let me ask you, have you been baptized?

What are you waiting for?

Asking Jesus to be your personal Savior is a very private experience much like when a man asks for his wife’s hand in marriage. Baptism on the other hand is not intended to be a private experience but a public one. We have all been to a wedding. A couple is united as one in the sight of God, family and friends. Weddings are fun. So much so that they end with a party! The same should be said of when we get baptized. We should invite everyone we know so that they can witness this new thing that has happened in your life.

Baptism is a picture of what transpired when you placed your faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus to save you from your sins. It is going public with your newfound faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save us, only Jesus saves, but it is an important act of obedience. In fact, Jesus commands us to be baptized (Matthew 28:19). It represents our new life in Christ.

So let me ask you again, have you been baptized?
