Jesus called them, “the least of these my brothers and sisters.” We call them the incarcerated, illiterate, improvised or hungry. He went on to say, “When we refused the hungry, thirsty, those without clothes, the sick and those in prisons,” we refused doing this for HIM. Your Give Local offering doesn’t refuse those who have needs. Working with our Local Partners: Agape Family Ministries, CRU/AIA, Feed Miami, The Glory House of Miami, Touching Miami with Love, South Florida Jail Ministries and City Serve we are serving the very people Jesus spoke about.

TRUTH

“All truth is God’s truth.” So I learned in seminary. This is Our Father’s world.

The natural truth of General Revelation discovered in the empirical realm owes its very existence to the True and Living God. As Romans 11:36 affirms “For from him through him and to him are all things.”

“But not all truth is Saving Truth.” This is where Special Revelation comes in. How God has revealed Himself for our redemption across human history; His chosen people, His covenant, His incarnation in Christ, and today through the Spirit led ministry of the gospel and His Church on mission.

These Truth Streams collide in our July message series At the Movies as we enter the intersection of faith and culture to see how the timeless truths of God’s Word are seen and applied in the timeliness of some of today’s popular movies.

The Bible is a trustworthy and tried resource of truth that sets us free, but the greatest test of that truth is in the living.

SERVE AT CHRIST JOURNEY “It’s who we are, it’s what we do.”

Luis, Althea, Aaron or Maria; you may not know them by name, but they are just a few of the many volunteers who make Christ Journey Church the kind of church people love to attend. They put into practice our Generosity value, “We give our time, talents and treasures,” each week to join God where He is at work on our multiple campuses. They have discovered that we are never more like Christ than when we serve. It was Jesus himself who said, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Our volunteers give their time to make our Church a place where people can find and follow Jesus Christ. Have you volunteered yet? It’s easy, just fill out the Serve at Christ Journey form, and drop it in the offering containers, tithe boxes or drop it off at the Café. We will take it from there and help you find something you will love doing.
