Women’s Ministry Brooke Melhorn

I was blessed this summer by going to a Women’s Conference where they told us that women who have friends in church enjoy the church experience more and stay connected. One female friendship that stands out in the Bible is in Ruth 1:14-2:23. Ruth, daughter-in-law to Naomi, after the death of her and Naomi’s husband, decides to remain by her side and make Naomi’s people of Bethlehem her own and their God, her God. In the ancient days, a woman could not get by without a husband or the help of a family relative of that husband. Here are two brave women standing together, helping one another as Ruth gleans in the fields at harvest time. Well my dear ladies, it is “Harvest Time” at Christ Community Church. Make a new friend by joining in the fun of the Harvest Festival and join us in a church-wide campaign called “Thrive” by participating in the small group component called “Journey Group Fellowship”. About Sunday morning’s Study: Being God’s Man By Claiming Your Freedom You’ve already been set free by Christ. When are you going to start experiencing that freedom? He’s committed to a life of faith, focused on the Spirit instead of the flesh, set free to love others. No longer focused on himself, he demonstrates his faith by serving others. You can be that kind of man by claiming

band of Ruth, told Ruth as he witnessed her heart for her friend Naomi, “May the Lord reward your work.” Come out and be blessed by the giving of your time and talents. You will never know who you may meet!
