Veterans are our passion Led by Veterans, Disaster Relief Australia (DRA) seeks to change the narrative around the Australian veteran.

DRA recognises that veterans hold a unique and valuable skill set. Australian veterans are a national asset, and DRA seeks to showcase that to the world.

The CHP RSL Group funding and support will provide the ability to have DRA volunteer veterans assisting flood affected community members in a hands on, practical approach. The devastation on the ground is so widespread that, despite operating on a lean budget it is costing up to $100,000 each week for DRA to assist the local community.

There is still so much to do and so many people to help. DRA is there to help people rebuild their lives.

Better at Life The Swiss 8 mission is to end the suicide crisis for all high risk demographics by giving scientifically-backed proactive mental health tools to the world, enabling individuals to create their own healthy, happy lives through the pursuit of purpose and human connection.

Every dollar donated to Swiss 8 is committed to delivering, improving and expanding our tools, programs, courses and events. Our spending goes into world-class research, program development, digital technology building, educational content creation, and wages.

In line with Anzac Day 2022, Swiss 8 will be releasing a new Recalibr8 protocol within the Swiss 8 App which aims to help anyone going through a major life transition.

Our research coupled with lived-experience has uncovered transition as a pinnacle point of mental health impact. Our proactive model intercepts this mental health down-turn, and gives people the tools, education and guidance they need to navigate through transition, and be Better at Life.

The funding support provided by CHP RSL Group will be key to the delivery of the Recalibr8 protocol, including the facilitation of in person workshops for the CHP RSL members, staff and Sub-Branch.

DRA improves veterans’ wellbeing by providing them the opportunity to continue to serve communities devastated by natural disaster so they are able to regain a sense of purpose and identity not found since their military service.

The CHP RSL Group incorporating Bargo Sports Club and Magpie Sports thank these organisations for helping us support veterans via our ClubGRANTS program with a total donation of $100,000.

HELP US TO RAISE ADDITIONAL FUNDS Join us on Thursday evenings in April, and on ANZAC Day, and buy some tickets in our fundraising raffles. All proceeds will be donated to the nominated charities. See p13-16

Supporting veterans and their families in every community RSL LifeCare is committed to establishing permanent Wellbeing Centres for veterans and their families that will provide services that support the 7 elements of wellbeing: Recognition & Respect; Education & Skills; Social Support & Connection; Income & Finance; Health; Housing & Employment RSL LifeCare in partnership with RSL NSW are working together to raise funds for the establishment of a Veteran Wellbeing Centre in the Sydney, CBD. The funding provided by CHP RSL Group will support this initiative.

CHPRSL APP

This Centre will be available for use by Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Veteran Members, and will offer face-to-face and online support to these veterans and their families across a full range of wellbeing services.

Additionally this Centre will be utilised as a Community Centre where local groups, businesses and organisations can come together to provide the support and services needed to support local veterans and their families.
