IwasdoingmyfirstgrasstrimmingthisspringwhenIwasgreetedbya smallfieldofdandelionswhichseeminglyblossomedovernight.Tobehonest,I reallyenjoythoselittlespringflowersbecausetheyalwaysremindmeofmy childhood.Icouldn’twaittopickahandfulandpresentthemtomymom.My preciousmommawouldalwaysacceptthosesometimessmashedanddrooping dandelionsasiftheywerethemostwonderfulgiftshehadeverreceived She hadaspecialjellyjarthatshekeptjustformy“beautifulbouquet”.I’msure manyofyouhavesimilarmemories.

Butthe“beauty”ofthoseearlyspringflowerscanalsobeseenasa nuisancetosome.Manypeoplespraytheirlawnstopreventtheaggravationof theoverabundanceofthe“weed”.Ithinkit’sprettyamazingthattheOnewho gaveusalovely-prizewinningredrosealsogifteduswiththatyellow dandelion,andtheyeachhavebeautyandvalue.

OurLord-ourgiveroflife-viewseachofusjustthesameway.Weeach, becausewe’recreatedinHisimageandlikenesshavebeautyandvalue;but sadly,manytimestheworldlooksatsomeofGod’screatedbeingsasa nuisance,a“weed”withlittleornovalue.Wearenotallroses,orlilies,or whateverelseisconsideredtheloveliestflower,butinGod’seyesweareeach beautiful,cherished,andofimmeasurablevalue Thereareuniquequalitiesin eachofus-eventhatdandelionhasarich,cheerycolorandisdesigned intricatelywithmanyvaluablepurposes(lookitup).

I’msothankfulmysweetmomtaughtmetoappreciatethebeautyand valueinGod’screation.ButIthinkIespeciallyappreciaterememberingher acknowledgingandthoroughlyenjoyingthelittlethings-suchasthosewilted droopingdandelionbouquets.Shehasalwaysbeenawonderfulexampleof howourAbbaFatheracceptsus-manytimescomingtoHimasawilted,falling apartmess ButHeseesandacceptsusasalovelymasterpieceofbeauty Whatanamazingbouquetwepresenttotheworldwhenwebindourselves togetherwiththeloveofourLord.
