highlight of our year is here. At 10am on 19th November the hooter will blast in Browndown Road for the start of the thirty eighth Gosport Half Marathon when over a thousand runners
A good place to watch is along Lee-on-theSolent promenade between Elmore and Monks Hill Car Parks where the runners will pass spectators on four occasions.
CHILDREN’S FUN RUN Organised by Gosport Road Runners in conjunction with the Gosport Half Marathon and started by the Mayor of Gosport. There are two age category events: Under 11 years (1.07Km) and 12 – under 17 years (2.15 km). All participants will receive a goodie bag and medal and the winning boy and girl of each event will also receive a special trophy. Parents
and
Guardians
may
accompany
younger children (no medal for them!). Both events start and finish at Bay House
School, Gomer Lane, Gosport, PO12 2QP. Entry fee £2.00. A parent or guardian must accompany every young person to the school and sign in by 9.45am on Sunday 19th November. Without a parent or guardian to complete the registration no child can participate. The children’s events are popular and numbers may have to be limited.
